Bereavement is part of a series of short courses designed by Angela Coates to help support Education Practitioners in the classroom setting, when dealing with issues that can affect Mental Health. With the current 2020 Pandemic, it is inevitable that practitioners will encounter a pupil who has suffered a bereavement. Like other topics in this series the subject is often seen as upsetting. Practitioners fear causing further damage in the situation and often doubt their own abilities to Nurture others in a productive way. With the demand for outside agency support likely to increase significantly, let's be proactive and get a better understanding of bereavement and what we might be able to do in the classroom setting.
