NEW Investigation in Humanities

A practical course which will immerse teachers in Humanities investigations at various levels of complexity, from simple, single lesson experiences for PS1, to more in-depth and substantial enquiries for PS3.

Target Group: Humanities Coordinators, PS 1- 3 Teachers
Teachers will learn about posing the right questions, choosing suitable sources and how to interrogate them with learners to glean information, ideas, answers and opinions, and to prompt further questions. Packed with resources and ideas to take away, the course will directly address What Matters statements 1 and 2 (enquiry; opinions & views).

Don Trueman

HISTORY and GEOGRAPHY - Don Trueman supports primary school planning for skills development in History. In more recent years he’s offered support for Geography at primary level and also runs his own consultancy, offering training, teaching sessions and planning / teaching / learning resources. Linzi Robinson

HUMANITIES - Linzi Robinson is an experienced primary school teacher and a mother of two young children. Initially trained in the foundation phase, Linzi has considerable experience across PS 1, 2 & 3. Linzi has also worked as a karate instructor, and has delivered music lessons to schools across Torfaen and Monmouthshire for UpBeat Music & Arts.
Linzi specialises in the Humanities, co-presenting Humanities AoLE courses with Don Trueman. Linzi Robinson also has involvement in Let's work together! which encourages and develops team working skills at PS1 or PS2.
