ALN – Gemma Drury is an inspiring leader with over 20 years of experience across the Primary and Secondary phases, in both mainstream and specialist settings. She is a professional who has held Class Teacher, ALNCo, Leadership, Local Authority Advisory and Head of Specialist Settings roles.
Gemma is passionate in supporting schools, Local Authorities and professionals in developing and facilitating excellent provision for all learners whilst also helping schools implement and meet the requirements of ALN Reform within Wales. Her practice has previously been highlighted as sector leading within the Estyn Good Practice document.
Gemma is a qualified Early Bird Plus, Healthy Minds and Step Back Trainer. Her main fields of expertise are in the areas of Autism and SEBD and she has a Diploma in Trauma Informed Schools. Gemma has extensive experience in delivering a wide range of tailored training programme as well as having lead a number of Welsh Government and University pilots within the ALN arena.
As well as being a member of Collective Learning she is also an independent Education and ALN consultant providing support, advice and guidance to schools and agencies.
